New Zealand will move towards mostly electric cars in the country by 2035, as part of recommendations announced today by the nation's climate commission. The move will see New Zealand follow in the footsteps of countries such as Norway and the UK, despite the latter cutting its subsidy for electric vehicles several times. Professor of robotics at the University of Western Australia, and Director of the WA Electric Vehicle Trial, Thomas Bräunl says the global push towards electric cars and infrastructure means the goal is "really achievable".
